Choices under time pressure

Making an accurate choice takes time, that you often do not have. How does the decision-making process change under time pressure? In this research line, we have studied the neural mechanisms involved in decision-making under time pressure (e.g., Van Maanen et al., 2016), and we have studied which cognitive architecture supports decision-making under time pressure (e.g., Katsimpokis et al., 2021). To this end, we have developed multiple novel computational cognitive models and analysis techniques, including the single-trial Linear Ballistic Accumulator model (STLBA), and the fixed point property analysis.
